Class Input and alignment with curriculum

In our first hour we had a good brainstorming session to get a sense of interests and needs in the class. Below is your input with a comment of where you will find an emphasis during this class (see schedule below) where we will try to address the issues you brougth up more specifically:

Lectio Divina (go here in the blog for more detail):

  • How to fill the entire day with prayer - Godly perspectives, practical ideas
  • How to know God rather than to know about Him... How do you know you know? Head knowledge vs. heart knowledge, etc
  • How to utilize the Bible for application in everyday life

Witnessing:

  • How to learn about what the needs of your neighbors are, and How to fulfill those needs once they are known
  • Witnessing to one's family... especially non-believers
  • also: dealing with fear / rejection

Throughout the class:

  • "Real-life" situations that folks have been through
Besides these "special topics" we will have a "core teaching unit" on "Irritations with one's associates". For review of the core teaching unit click here. For a more general description of the track objectives look here.
